The market was introduced for the first time on 23 April 2022. Mimosa Mall serves as a venue sponsor to the initiative and assists with marketing support, whilst the Market is operated and managed by Balans Gesondheid / Health.
The Market provides the platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products and offerings in a niche and unique market style offering. The one-of-its-kind market is complimented by live entertainment, a kiddies play area and currently attracts more than 35 local exhibitors, offering fresh produce, arts, crafts, jewelry, plants and fresh flowers, CBD Infused products, décor, locally brewed coffee, healthy street food options, freshly baked bread, free range eggs, kambucha and many more.
The semi-permanent addition to the shopper experience in Mimosa Mall is combined with endurance races, exercising classes, obstacle courses, entertainment by local school bands, singing groups and more. The Operators are aiming to attract an addition of 25 local exhibitors and expanding their offering within the next 6 months.
The market offers the visitors a true taste of Bloemfontein in an unconventional setting, by repurposing a covered parking space within a retail space. The industrial look and feel provides for a comfortable, relaxed environment, complimented by an ambience that is true to that of Mimosa Mall’s vision: “To be the shopping destination of choice where time is not measured but experienced”.
