Board Members

Pareto’s Board of Directors comprises two executive directors and ten non executive directors. Pareto is a sleek, streamlined operation where each of the ten non-executive directors has an intimate knowledge of the property portfolio.

NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS


Joe Matsau – Chairman

Apart from being Chairman of Pareto Ltd, Joe Matsau also holds the following positions: Chairman, Imara Capital SA; Chairman, African Revival Holdings (Pty) Ltd.; Non Executive Director, Sandwell Engineering (Pty) Ltd.; Member of the Board, WWFSA; Member of the Board of Trustees, Eskom Pension & Provident Fund; Board Member, National Business Initiative.

Joe retired from Eskom Holdings in 2004 where he held several positions as Executive Director and Managing Director and was a member of the Management Board and Executive Committee. A former Chief Executive & Managing Director of the Lesotho Electricity Corporation, he holds a Diploma in Transport Economics and a Diploma in Marketing.

 

Wayne Van der Vent

Wayne Van der Vent - Head of the Property Investment Division of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) Wayne, a law graduate, is Head of the Property Investment Division of the Public Investment Corporation (PIC) which manages a growing portfolio of properties owned by the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF).

He also sits on the boards of other companies including the Airports Company of South Africa and SA Corporate Ltd.

Younaid Waja

A practicing tax and business consultant, he is the senior partner and chairman of APF Chartered Accountants Inc.

He sits on the audit committees of Imperial Holdings Ltd and the Public Investment Corporation. He is also a member of the Special Income Tax Court.

Erwin Rode

Erwin joined the board in April 2006 and is the country’s leading expert in property valuation, as the developer of the Rode House Price Index and as a founder of Rode & Associates, one of the largest valuation firms in SA.

His experience in the field of property forecasting and valuating is unmatched in the industry

Aman Jeawon

A chartered accountant by profession, Aman is Finance General Manager for Eskom Holdings Ltd. He is a member of various Eskom Holdings governance structures and is widely experienced in financial, advisory, commercial, regulatory and fiduciary matters.

He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund and is the Chairman of Eskom Finance Company (Pty) Ltd.

Patric Ho

Absolute Return Portfolio Manager of the Eskom Pension and Provident Fund. Patric, who is a chartered accountant, joined EPPF in February 2002 and is responsible for investment management.

He has 17 years investment experience in both stock-broking and asset management.

Nozipho Maila

Nozipho, a chartered accountant, is Operations Manager of the PIC’s Property Investment Division.

She also sits on the audit committees of the Airports Company of South Africa and the South African Local Government Association.


Nomavuso Mnxasana

Nomavuso, a chartered accountant, is Group Audit and Risk Executive at the Imperial Group.

She is also an independent director and member of the Audit Committee of Imperial Bank. Other board memberships include Land Bank, AIH, Nozala Investment Holdings and Nedbank Group.


Sipho Mashinini

Sipho, an MBA graduate, is the CEO of NHBRC. He held Managing Executive positions at DEVCO and REAM (Real Estate Asset Management) at ABSA.

He was also Chief Executive Officer of Propnet (a division of Transnet) from 1998 until 2004.


Panos Zagaretos

Panos, a quantity surveyor by training, is an investment manager in the PIC’s Property Investment Division, having joined the company in 2004 as a development manager.

He serves on the Board of SA Corporate and JIA Piazza Park. He also serves on the Commercial Board Committee of ACSA.

Saul Nyangeni Gumede

Completed B. Comm 1980 at Zululand, joined Old Mutual Properties late 1985 as Accountant and left as Johannesburg Regional Finance Manager in 1990.

Rejoined Old Mutual Properties as  Regional Investment Manager. Later became Regional Property Manager for retail, office and industrial properties.Presently Managing Director of Dijalo which provides propety management and consultancy services. ( Download full profile )
