Kapei wa Phahlamohlaka - Asset Manager

Kapei joined Pareto in 2007 as a Property Asset Manager. In addtion to degrees in law, public administration and management he also has a Masters in Business Administration. He has also completed a Certificate in Shopping Centre Management, a Certificate in Commercial Property Practice as well as the Property Development Programme.

Prior to joining Pareto, he held Asset Manager positions at the Public Investment Corporation and Ithala Development Finance Corporation. Kapei's portfolio includes Southgate Mall and Southgate Value Market as well as Cresta Shopping Centre, in Johannesburg and Mimosa Mall in Bloemfontein.

Wilson Mashiane - Asset Manager

Wilson joined Pareto in 2007 as a Property Asset Manager. He is a law graduate and has supplemented his legal qualification with various property related courses.

His property experience prior to joining Pareto includes periods at Transnet Retirement Fund's property division and at Old Mutual.

He not only oversees two of the major shopping centres in South Africa – The Pavilion in Durban and Westgate Shopping Centre but also Pareto's numerous investments in and around Sandton City.

Meshack Phiri - Asset Manager

Meshack joined Pareto in 2009 from the Broll Property Group where he had been General Manager of Cresta Shopping Centre, one of Pareto's major assets.

A BCom graduate from Wits University, he has also completed a Certificate in Shopping Centre Management and attended a Property Development Programme.

His previous work experience includes a period at the Airports Company of South Africa – Retail division, the Department of Public Works and JHI Property Services. In the Pareto portfolio, he is responsible for Tyger Valley Centre in Cape Town and in Business Venture Investments No.1360 Ltd portfolio, he is responsible for Menlyn Park in Pretoria, Cavendish Square and Cavendish Connect in Cape Town.

Danisa Shetlele - Strategic Leasing Manager

Danisa Shetlele joined Pareto in 2011 from Liberty Properties where she was the New Developments Leasing Manager.

A BA LLB graduate from the University of Durban Westvile, she has also completed an Advanced Course in Shopping Centre Leadership as well as the Property Development Programme.

Her previous work experience in retail leasing was mainly with Liberty Properties from 2004 to 2011. In 2008 she became the New Developments Tenant Coordinator for the Eastgate extension, successfully letting the New Eastgate Food Court Piazza. As the Developments Leasing Manager for Liberty Properties from 2009 to 2011, she was the key driver of the Leasing for the Sandton City Shopping Centre extension. The new Protea Court has changed the tenant mix landscape of Sandton City Shopping Centre and general retail in South Africa.

She is currently the Strategic Leasing Manager for the entire Pareto portfolio.

Nathisha Singh - Developments Manager

Nathisha joined Pareto in 2010 as Project Manager responsible for overseeing Pareto's projects at Head Office and investments.

Prior to joining Pareto, Nathisha was with ABSA Commercial Property Finance as Manager of Building Project Management. This role entailed overseeing ABSA's commercial property portfolio countrywide and in Africa. Nathisha also performed an advisory role to Barclays Africa in property development transactions. Before joining ABSA; Nathisha was a director at Abakali Quantity Surveyors, a quantity surveying practice. She started her career at Davis Langdon Quantitiy Surveyors. Nathisha holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from the University of Natal and a Masters in Business Administration from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

Rubia Manuel - Research Manager

Rubia joined Pareto in March 2011 as a Trainee Asset Manager and assumed the position of Research Manager from January 2012.

A Business Science (Finance & Business Strategy Hons.) graduate from the University of Cape Town (UCT), she is currently in the final year of her Masters in Property Studies from UCT.

Her previous work experience includes two years as an Equity Analyst at Kagiso Securities as well as Vunani Securities where she covered the Listed Property Sector.

Lindi van der Merwe - Property Administrator

Lindi joined Pareto in April 2011. She has been involved in the retail and commercial property industry for the past 10 years and is currently studying towards her B.Com qualification.

Her previous work experience includes six years with RMB Properties where she performed various roles ranging from lease administrator to property administrator. She spent a further three years with Resilient Properties, as Assistant Asset Manager and ultimately General Manager of Limpopo Mall.

Finally, as part of her time with Broll Properties, she was appointed the General Manager of Design Square and Glenfair centres in Pretoria.
