Our People
Considering the size of its revenue and asset base, Pareto Ltd is run by a small, but highly focused and dedicated team of experienced property professionals.
The effect is an efficient, streamlined operation where each of the executive directors, managers and non-executive directors have an intimate knowledge of the property portfolio. A wide range of administrative functions fall under the ambit of Pareto head office, located in Sunninghill, in northern Johannesburg. These include:
- Group financial reporting
- Monitoring financial performance of properties
- Growing the asset value via acquisitions of new centres and expansion/redevelopment of existing properties
- Formulating policies and procedures to be followed by property managing agents
- Treasury risk management
- Devising and implementing strategies to maximize income returns from properties
From an asset management point of view, each asset manager should have at least two properties under his/her jurisdiction and must liaise closely with the on-site management team with regards to the day-to-day operation of the retail properties.
This includes monthly meetings and regular risk and return assessments. This hands-on approach continues to reap rewards for the company and its shareholders. Pareto is justifiably proud of the diversity of its employee base, not just in its own management structure, but also in the shopping centres it manages.
